Kid Cudi is so hyped about Jordan Peele‘s new thriller, Us, that he wants everyone to see it.  He helped make that happen — on a small scale — by renting out a theater in Glendale, California and inviting a bunch of fans to come see it with him for free.

On Thursday, Cudi saw the movie for the first time, and tweeted, “Go see Us. Im tellin u. Well done! The great one does it again @JordanPeele!! MUST see multiple times in theaters.”

Then on Sunday, Cudi posted a tweet inviting fans to come to see the movie on him — all they had to do was meet him at the Pacific Glendale 18 theater and bring one of his albums, or an item of his official merch.

Fans descended on the theater in droves, and Cudi posted a video of himself and his newfound movie buddies sitting in their seats, waiting for the film to start.

“Yeah, yeah, yeah, we about to watch this movie!” Kid said as the fans cheered. “Yeah, Jordan, yes! Let’s git it, baby, let’s go!”

Cudi then retweeted a long thread by a fan who posted numerous photos and videos of the entire experience.  “The madness!” wrote the Ohio-born rapper.

“@UsMovie was awesome and cudi was awesome,” wrote the fan. “Thank you @KidCudi — love you forever duder.”
