Wale Says It Feels Like He Was Given A Lifetime Festival Ban

Rapper J.I.D posted on Twitter that he is performing at Lollapalooza. He wrote, Chicago, I’m coming to Lollapalooza. I always wanted to be a part of this.

Wale retweeted  J.I.D and said, Aye bruh. I think I got a lifetime ban on festivals…can I be your DJ’s hype man #pleaserespond.

Wale believes that because he is never invited to perform at festivals that he has been banned.

While Wale’s Tweet isn’t exactly a news item on its own, it does help unpack a belief he seems to have, regarding his work being underappreciated, to the point of rendering him disinterested in the process.
