Drake Signs First-Look Deal

Drake is returning to his thespian roots, this time around behind the camera, Deadline has learned. 

According to the report, Drizzy and his co-manager Future the Prince have signed a first-look deal with Forest Hill Entertainment, a company founded by Matthew Budman. The seasoned producer has previously worked buzzy films like American Hustle and Zero Dark Thirty.

As part of the deal, Budman will work in tandem with Drizzy and Future to develop originial content.

“Drake and I are thrilled to partner with our longtime friend at the inception of Forest Hill Entertainment, supporting Matthew and his team as they set new, unprecedented boundaries of groundbreaking content,” Future the Prince said of the new venture.

According to Deadline, this deal adds to Drake and Future’s growing portfolio. The OVO cohorts have already produced a series of TV and movie projects.
