Sampling has always been a part of the hip-hop culture and is an art form WE truly appreciate.

Nick Cannon is considered one of the OG’s of the game. I mean he got with Mariah Carey. Well, he is back making music and he usually puts out some fun music. Well, he has proved it again with his latest song “Only You”.

Being mainly raised by his grandfather he was exposed to so much history and culture. He was not afraid to go into the R&B archives to find the perfect sample he needed for this song. The sample on this song is from an underrated R&B group called Surface. The song he sampled is called “Happy”.
