“5% Tint”

Sampling has always been a part of the hip-hop culture and is an art form WE truly appreciate.

Travis Scott just released his highly anticipated album “Astroworld”. The album is amazing with many stand out track, features, and samples. One stood out in particular. His song “5% Tint” had an interesting beat that many people from the early 90’s remembered.

The song he ended up sampling was from The Goodie Mob classic album “Soul Food” and the track was called “Cell Therapy”.   

It’s great to see young artists looking back at older generations for inspiration. It shows appreciation for sure.
