Vancouver Woman Dies After Root Canal
Vancouver, Wa.- The Columbian newspaper reports the Washington Department of Health is investigating the reported death of a woman who underwent a root canal last week. It says 64 year old Cynthia Pheil went to Wright and Beatty Endodontics for the procedure on September 10th and someone there noticed she was unresponsive a half hour into the root canal. The Columbian says she could not be resuscitated and was taken to the hospital where she died three days later.
The Columbian says a family member filed a complaint with the DOH. It says Portland attorney Ann D. Foster, who represents the dental office has declined comment.
