Trey Songz’s Domestic Violence Lawsuit Dropped
Trey Songz has caught a major break in his alleged assault case, Pitchfork has learned.
According to the outlet, the R&B crooner is no longer facing a lawsuit, which stemmed from a February 2018 incident in which a woman named Andrea Buera claimed Songz attacked her at his home.
Buera’s attorney reportedly filed a request for a dismissal of the suit with prejudice on Monday in Superior Court of Los Angeles County. As a result, Buera cannot bring the case before a judge again.
As previously reported, Buera claimed Songz choked her and repeatedly punched her in the face at his Hollywood Hills home. The “Chi Chi” singer was then arrested on a felony domestic violence charge in March 2018.
However, he denied the allegations on Twitter, writing:
For weeks my lawyers & Mgmt have asked me not to comment on this and I initially agreed but this morning I feel that my fam, the women that raised me, my friends & fans especially the youth need to hear from me. I am being lied on and falsely accused for someone’s personal gain

Songz has yet to comment on the latest dismissal of the lawsuit.
