Tory Lanez’s ‘Chixtape 5’ Falls Short of No. 1 on Billboard 200
Tory Lanez’s latest installment of his Chixtape series fell short of the Billboard 200 this week. Chixtape 5 debuted with 83,000 equivalent album units and was the most-streamed album of the week, however, it couldn’t beat out Celine Dion’s Courage album.
In a recent interview, Tory admitted that he lost money in making Chixtape 5 but that it was important to release another chapter of Chixtape due to the cult following the series has.
“The Chixtape series is bigger than Tory Lanez. I know that this means a lot to [my fans], bringing it back because they thought that it was gonna end at 4. It’s a way more important experience this time.”
Chixtape 5 features legendary artists, T-Pain, Ashanti, and Lil Wayne.
