Tory Lanez Rap Beef With Don Q Escalating
Tory Lanez bold claims of being the “best rapper alive” evidently didn’t fall on deaf ears. Over the weekend, fellow rapper Don Q countered the Toronto lyricist’s self-proclaimed title by releasing a vicious diss track titled “I’m Not Joyner.”
On the record, Q accuses the Love Me Now artist of plagiarizing a few of his bars and re-purposing them for a 2017 freestyle that aired during DJ Funk Flex‘s radio show. The Bronx-bred rapper later provided proof of the alleged theft on Instagram.
“Toryyyyyy?? The n**** that stole my style from bars to the beat…n**** u even wore the dad hat like me u been my son,” Q captioned a video post of the alleged act.
Lanez, however, doesn’t appear to be too fazed by Q’s less-than-subtle jabs. He indicated as much when he took to his Instagram on Sunday night and dismissed “I’m Not Joyner,” a gritty freestyle over Diddy‘s “Victory.”
“Here in America. The champ is here! That’s what you came with, n****? F*** outta here,” Tory remarked on his Instagram story.
Lanez later issued a warning via his Twitter account.
“Going to sleep,” he wrote. “Things won’t be this peaceful when I wake up … WATCH.”
