Strick City

The T shirts worn by Portland State students said “Strick City.”

It was a Celebration of Life inside PSU’s Viking Pavilion.

Former teachers and coaches told the crowd that Deante Strickland was “A star athlete that shined on and off the court.”

The 22-year-old student athlete was working on his Master’s degree when he was shot to death August 2.

His sister, Tamena Strickland, is charged with his murder and with shooting other family members.
