Serena Williams took to social media in support of her good friend Meghan Markle following the exclusive Oprah interview on Sunday night.

Williams on how women are viewed in the media and called for tabloids to be called out for how they perceive women and acknowledge that there are mental health consequences when it comes to systemic oppression and victimization.

Amanda Gorman, known as the poet that wowed at Biden’s Inauguration also showed her support of Meghan, comparing her to Harry’s mother, Diana. “Meghan isn’t living a life without pain, but a life without prison. This isn’t Meghan’s princess ‘happy’ ending. But sometimes change, the decisions that bring us the most hurt, aren’t about happiness but healing,” Gorman tweeted.
