Septic Tank Save in Estacada

ESTACADA, Ore. – An extremely rare rescue in Estacada Tuesday – Firefighters rescued a person who fell into a septic tank and was stuck there for days, “Had been working on it alone at home. When he fell in, nobody noticed.”

Division Chief Richard Anderson says the man was flown to a hospital, where his condition isn’t known.

He says the accident is a great reminder to always work with a partner, “Working around open holes…it’s extremely dangerous. Make sure to have a buddy system…or leave it to professionals.”
