Got an Amazon Prime membership? If you do, you’ll be able to watch Donald Glover and Rihanna‘s highly-anticipated film, Guava Island, as many times as you like.
Following last Monday’s news that the film will premiere via YouTube during this weekend’s livestream of the Coachella festival, Amazon revealed Wednesday night that Guava Island — also starring Nonso Anozie and Letitia Wright — will also debut on Prime video Saturday, April 13 at 12:01 a.m. PT via amazon.com/guavaisland.
Glover himself tweeted the news Wednesday: “im going to be showing “Guava Island!” on saturday for free after my performance,” he wrote, with a link to Amazon.

Amazon also shared a 14-second video teaser on Instagram of the film, which was shot in Cuba over the course of four weeks. The teaser’s basically just a few images of Rihanna and Glover chilling in an island paradise. Billed as a “tropical thriller,” the movie is said to follow a local musician who’s determined to host a music festival for everyone to enjoy.
Guava Island will premiere at Coachella Thursday — the day before Glover, aka Childish Gambino, headlines the festival’s first weekend — in a specially constructed theater built just for the film and will continue to screen there until the festival wraps. Amazon will offer the Guava Island free to stream until 6:00 p.m. PT Saturday, after which it’ll only be available for Amazon Prime Video customers.
Guava Island will also stream free on Twitch.tv/primevideo at 5:00 p.m. PT Saturday.
If you tune in to YouTube for Coachella this weekend you’ll have your choice of three live stream feeds with different artists performing simultaneously. Programming is set to begin at 4:00 p.m. PT April 12 and will run through the weekend.
