Tekashi 6ix9ine To Enter Witness Protection Program Upon Release
After three days of testifying in the federal racketeering case against the Nine Trey Gangsta Blood gang, Tekashi 6ix9ine is getting closer to a possible 2020 release. However, according to The New York Times, his freedom will likely come with a price.
Given that Nine Trey has already threatened to kill him once, The Times reports that prosecutors could possibly have Tekashi enter a witness protection program as part of his release.

“Despite how connected we are, and the appetite for social media content in this country, there are places where, if this kid gets a haircut and wears normal clothes, no one would know or care who he is,” said Jay Kramer, a former FBI official to The Times.
Although that may be an option, it unlikely to be an easy one, since the rapper has very recognizable and noticeable tattoos on his body and face. The Times notes that it’s unlikely the United States Marshals Service would not pay for any sort of tattoo removal service for 6ix9ine.
What if he told you he’d grow up to infiltrate a notorious gang, become the face of it and take down the entire criminal organization in 1 year. #Tekashi69 pic.twitter.com/jxtHDkIste

As previously reported, 6ix9ine faces up to 47 years in prison after being arrested in 2018 on racketeering, weapons, and drugs charges. However, based on previous time served and his cooperation with the government, a 2020 release seems very likely.
