Soulja Boy legal woes have continued with the rapper being sentenced to serve more time behind bars, TMZ reports.

According to the outlet, the “Crank That” phenomenon must spend 240 more days, or eight months, in jail for violating his probation. In addition, Soulja is also being mandated to complete 265 days of community service.

As previously reported, the 29-year-old was arrested back in February after his ex-girlfriend alleged he was holding her captive. During a raid of his home, authorities seized ammunition. Earlier this month, he was picked up for failing to complete previously assigned community service.

Since his April 11 arrest, Soulja’s lawyer has claimed that the rapper underwent an “awakening.” However, that simply wasn’t enough to help him avoid jail time.

The judge initially intended to sentence the rapper to two years behind bars, but acknowledged the business opportunities he has already missed, and decided to be more lenient.
