Remy Ma is out on bail after turning herself into authorities on Wednesday, for allegedly assaulting her Love & Hip-Hop co-star.

The “Melanin Magic” rapper, born Reminisce Smith, was released on a $1,500 cash bond, ABC News has confirmed. In addition, a temporary order of protection is in place.

As previously reported, Remy is alleged to have punched Love & Hip-Hop cast mate Brittney Taylor in the face during a backstage altercation at a benefit concert last month. Following the ordeal, Taylor took to social media to share her side of the story and photos of her injuries, which included a black eye.

Taylor had allegedly been prepping a civil suit but will now fully cooperate with authorities, according to her lawyer.

“This arrest demonstrates how serious this matter is, it is real life and not reality TV entertainment,” Taylor’s attorney, Sanford Rubenstein, said in a statement to E!. “The victim Brittney Taylor has confidence in our system of justice and will continue to fully cooperate with the authorities.”

Remy remains on parole following her release from prison in 2014, after serving six years for an intentional assault conviction.
