Megan Thee Stallion is all about that coin. The burgeoning rapper has wisely chosen to trademark her signature catchphrase “Hot Girl Summer,” Billboard reports.

According to the outlet, the Houston native filed the trademark earlier this month, presumably around July 10, when Meg publicly shared with fans that she was “in the process” of doing so.

The phrase, which the Fever lyricist defines as meaning living your truth, has taken over everyday conversation, social media and brand advertising.

The likes of Wendy’s, Duolingo, Forever 21 and Maybelline have all claimed their stake in “Hot Girl Summer,” and have used it for several marketing campaigns. If approved, the trademark will reportedly cover be used for merch like hoodies, T-shirts and sportswear.

In May, fellow femcee Cardi B was denied a trademark for her signature “Okurrr” catchphrase by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. The Bronx-bred rapper had similar motivations behind her filing: She wanted to use it for clothing and other merch.
