R&Beef: Jacquees & Ella Mai Exchange More Shots On Social Media
Jacquees and Ella Mai are letting the shade fly on social media, in what appears to be a rehashed R&B beef.
i’d be so embarrassed if someone brung me on stage and the only thing i could sing was someone elses song because nobody knew my actual music. poor thing.

The ongoing tension between the U.K. songstress and the Cash Money Records signee came to a head on Tuesday when Mai tweeted a cryptic message, which many fans have interpreted as referencing Jacquees.

“I’d be so embarrassed if someone brung me on stage and the only thing I could sing was someone else’s song because nobody knew my actual music. poor thing,” Mai wrote.
Her tweet coincidentally began to circulate online shortly after a clip of Jacquees performing his unofficial remix of “Trip” in London’s O2 arena started going viral. The 4275 vocalist performance was in support of Drake and Tory Lanez‘s European Assassination Vacation tour.

Once Mai’s less-than-subtle shade began to make its rounds, Jacquees’s girlfriend and fellow artist Dreezy chimed in.
“1st of all he hate performing that song,” the rapper responded in the comments section of The Shade Room. “They put him on the spot and he did what he was supposed to do.”
Dreezy added: “Every single he dropped is gold or plat, humble yourself girl.”

Finally, Jacquees stepped into the ring to defend himself and reiterated that all of his singles are either “gold or plat.” However, it appears as though the singer wasn’t looking to further ignite the situation by wishing Mai “much success.”
“Me and @djmustard already cleared this up,” Jacquees wrote on Instagram. “We plan on working, we on the next page. I’m doing what I do.”
