Migos frontman Quavo will be taking his talents to the small screen, but he’ll be behind the scenes, not on camera.

The “Pure Water” lyricist is developing a new animated series for children, in tandem with his label home Quality Control Music, Motown Records and Marginal Mediaworks and Imagine Kids+Family,  Music Business Worldwide has learned.

According to the outlet, Quavo is set to executive-produce the series, which will target 8-12-year-olds as it focuses on “Atlanta’s hip-hop and culture scene.”

Quality Control Music’s CEO Pierre ‘Pee’ Thomas and COO Kevin ‘Coach K’ Lee will also be on hand to assist Quavo with the production.

While details of the series are scarce at the moment, the project is envisioned to be part of a larger franchise, including consumer products, merchandise, original music and much more.

“I’ve loved animation my whole life whether on TV or in movies and I wanted my first jump into this premium content world to be a show just for kids,” Quavo said of the series.

He added, “It will definitely reflect the creativity, love and families in and around the NAWF side of Atlanta where we grew up.”
