Portland Tram To Close For Maintenance

Portland, Or. – Portland’s Aerial Tram will shut down tonight at 9:30 p.m. for a week of maintenance work. Hannah Schafer with the Portland Bureau of Transportation says the tram is scheduled to resume service July 8th at 5:30 a.m.

Crew will shorten the tram’s haul rope which stretches over time and has to be shortened roughly every year and a half. Shuttle buses will run between OHSU’s South Waterfront and Marquam Hill campuses.
