Pit Bull Attack In SE Portland

Portland, Ore – A Southeast Portland man says he and his dog were attacked by a pit bull. Gregg Van Slyke was taking his poodle Lucy on her morning walk near 44th and Nehalem when a pit bull inside a parked car managed to crawl out the window and dart across the street. Van Slyke tells News Partner KGW the dog pounced, bit his arm, then went for his poodle, named Lucy. She
spent three nights at Dove Lewis. And Van Slyke spent $7,000 on Vet care. Animal Services tracked down the pit bull’s owner and will be reaching out to them this week.
