Pioneer Courthouse Square Evacuated

Portland, Ore. — Portland Police say the Special Emergency Reaction Team (SERT) and Crisis Negotiation Team (CNT) responded to the area of the 800 block of Southwest 6th Avenue to assist Central Precinct officers who are dealing with a woman causing a disturbance inside a business.

The Metropolitan Explosive Disposal Unit also responded to assist given the nature of the threats from the woman.

Officers are evacuated nearby business and residences.

Pioneer Courthouse Square is also closed. Community members are asked to avoid the area.
