Pharrell Williams’ Uncle Files $50m Lawsuit For Sons Death
Pharrell Williams’ cousin, Donovan Lynch, was allegedly shot and killed by a Virginia Beach police officer by the name of Solomon Simmons III.
Four months after Lynch’s death, his father filed a federal lawsuit against the officer and the city of Virginia Beach.
Donovan’s father, Wayne Lynch is seeking $350,000 in damages from Simmons as well as $50 million from the city of Virginia Beach. The officer is being accused of excessive force resulting in the death of Donovan Lynch as well as failing to provide medical aid.
Lynch was shot while leaving a Virginia Beach restaurant with a friend, Officer Simmons was responding to shots fired call when he opened fire on Lynch. Authorities claim Lynch brandished a gun, however, witnesses denied the allegations.
