DMX will be a free man come Friday morning, Vulture reports.

According to the website, the hip-hop titan’s attorney Murray Richman has confirmed that X is poised to leave prison at 9 a.m.

“I spoke to him; he’s very happy,” Richman said. “He’s looking forward to being home. He’s never been hotter than now — people have been seeking him out all over.”

Although the “Slippin’” rapper’s release date is still listed as January 27, the Federal Bureau of Prisons has a policy in place to release inmates on a weekday if their scheduled release date falls on a weekend.

Following his exit from prison, X will reportedly be under supervised release for the next three years and complete a mandated outpatient drug abuse rehab program.

As previously reported, the New York native pleaded guilty to one count of tax fraud in November 2017. Last year, he was subsequently sentenced to one year in prison for tax evasion.
