Offset‘s legal woes have continued, with the rapper now facing felony charges for gun possession, TMZ has learned.

According to the report, Georgia’s Clayton County District Attorney’s Office has filed three charges against the Migos front man. Two of the charges are misdemeanor offenses for marijuana possession and an improper lane change. The other more serious charge, however, of firearm possession by a convicted felon could be costly for Offset.

The charges originally stem from a July 2018 arrest.

As previously reported, the “Clout” rapper was pulled over for various traffic violations while driving through an Atlanta suburb. Initially, authorities claimed that the tint on Offset’s luxury sports car was darker than the state’s legal limit. During the traffic stop, however, police discovered three loaded weapons in his vehicle.

Due to Offset’s criminal history, he was arrested immediately and charged with four infractions. But the rapper was able to have the charge of felony possession of a weapon during a crime dropped. That left the three counts he’s currently fighting.

According to his lawyer Drew Findling, Offset didn’t break any laws leading to the traffic stop and believes the rapper was specifically targeted because of his race and status.

“Unfortunately, people in his genre become a target for law enforcement who think that lifestyle is connected to some illegal activity…and that is a sad statement,” Findling told TMZ around the time of the incident last year.

Offset has since pleaded not guilty and due is back in court next month.
