Obama Once Asked Quest To Play French Montana In The White House

Questlove was a guest on Broken Record podcast and he shared the story of when President Obama asked him to play French Montana during a White House party.

Questlove explained they while he was DJing, President Obama came up and asked him to play French Montana because his daughters weren’t enjoying themselves.

“And I’m like, ‘Sir! I don’t have the clean versions of that.’ He’s like, ‘We’re all adults here. Play it!’ I’m like, ‘Sir, I’m not gonna play ‘Pop that pu**y, bitch, what ya twerkin’ wit,’” recalled Questlove.

The Roots drummer said that he was forced into retirement for six months after that night.
