Fresh on the heels of his first number-one album, Free Spirit, Khalid has been named Spotify’s most streamed artist worldwide.

According to the streaming platform, the singer’s acquired over 50 million monthly listeners, bypassing Ariana Grande’s previous reign at the top of the audience chart.

Khalid celebrated the feat with fans on Instagram, writing:

Khalid, who recently appeared in this year’s TIME 100 Most Influential People list, will also appear on tonight’s Billboard Music Awards to perform new music from Free Spirit.  Released April 3, his sophomore album debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 after moving 202,000 equivalent album units in the first week. Free Spirit is Khalid first Billboard 200 chart-topper, scored the fourth-largest opening sales for an album this year and the biggest first-week sales for a male solo artist this year.

Prior to Free Spirit’s release, Khalid premiered a companion film in select theaters worldwide. He also pushed out several singles, including “Don’t Pretend,” “Self,” “My Bad,” “Better,” and “Talk.”
