Nipsey Hussle‘s family is reportedly in the process of ensuring that his vision of bettering his community is fulfilled, TMZ has learned.

According to the report, Hussle intended to start a foundation which aimed to improve the quality of life for the youth of South Los Angeles. The rapper’s proposed plan included assisting local area schools with renovating playgrounds and furthering STEM programs for students, as well as helping to update public parks in and around his beloved Crenshaw district.

Now, the Victory Lap lyricist’s family is reportedly making the establishment of a foundation a “top priority.” The first order of business, TMZ says, is coming up with a name for the venture.

Earlier this week, Hussle was memorialized with a basketball court mural at Crete Academy in South Central L.A. The project was spearheaded by Nick Ansom, CEO of the Venice Basketball League, who was in talks with the rapper to develop a community-focused venture prior to his untimely death.
