Nicki Minaj has officially pulled out of her highly-controversial Jeddah World Fest performance in Saudi Arabia, Variety reports.

Tuesday, the Queen lyricist shared a statement with the outlet explaining the reason behind her sudden cancellation.

“After careful reflection I have decided to no longer move forward with my scheduled concert at Jeddah World Fest,” Minaj’s statement reads. “While I want nothing more than to bring my show to fans in Saudi Arabia, after better educating myself on the issues, I believe it is important for me to make clear my support for the rights of women, the LGBTQ community and freedom of expression.”

The Head Barb’s withdrawal from the festival arrives on the heels of the Human Rights Foundation urging Minaj to reconsider performing due to the regime’s violation of the rights of “tens of millions of Saudis.”
