Nas is set to fulfill a long-standing promise to his fans with the release of his newest LP, The Lost Tapes 2.

Due to arrive on July 19, via Mass Appeal/Def Jam Recordings, the forthcoming album is compiled of select unreleased tracks from Nas’s previous efforts: Hip-Hop is Dead, Untitled, Life is Good, and his most recent offering, 2018’s Nasir.

Tuesday, the veteran lyricist took to social media to share a video post announcing the album’s release. In the promotional clip, a time-lapse video unearths a worn cassette tape, buried beneath gemstones, which is marked with the project’s title. The trailer also features a snippet of the track “Lost Freestyle,” produced by Statik Selektah.

Nas also revealed the Lost Tapes 2 tracklisting as well as the album’s accompanying merch collaboration with Aimé Leon Dore.

Next week, the pioneering rapper is set to hit the road with Mary J. Blige on their first joint tour. Kicking off in West Palm Beach on July 11,  the Royalty Tour is slated to run through September. Prior to the trek, Nas will be headlining the 25th annual Essence Festival, taking place this weekend in New Orleans.
