Nas Apparently Owns A Piece of JAY’s Catalog

In a recent interview with N.O.R.E. and DJ EFN, the self-proclaimed “Forrest Gump of Hip Hop,” MC Serch talked about all things hip-hop.

He also shared an interesting tidbit that Nas owns some of Jay-Z’s music catalog.

He said in the interview, “But if you look at the liner notes on ‘Dead Presidents,’ Nas is one of the publishers. So, I said yeah, that line can live as much as it lives, but JAY don’t own a piece of Nas’ catalog, but Nas owns a piece of JAY’s catalog. And that’s a fact, though.”

He also shared that he went to school as Slick Rick and Doug E Fresh.
