Less than 24 hours after its arrival, Michelle Obama is singing Beyonce‘s praises for her new Netflix film Homecoming.

The documentary, which chronicles Bey’s historic headlining performance at last year’s Coachella, was described by the former FLOTUS in a brief video on Thursday afternoon as a “celebration and a call to action.”

“Girl, you have done it again. Constantly raising the bar for us all and doing it flawlessly,” Obama begins the short clip. “I’d say I’m surprised, but I know who you are. I’ve seen it up close and personal.”

“Girl you make me so proud,” she adds.

Obama then goes on to praise the Grammy-winning powerhouse for using her platform to highlight the contributions of other influential black leaders, and make younger people aware of them.

“I love that you’re using this film to inspire the next generation of history makers and record breakers,” she continues. “Keep telling the truth, because you can do it in a way that no one else can.”

But Bey and Obama have a mutual fan club: The singer just lauding Obama as a “beacon of hope” in a touching essay for Time magazine, who put the former first lady on its newly released list of the world’s 100 Most Influential People.

Obama is currently on a European tour to promote her bestselling memoir Becoming.
