Lace front wigs are wackkkk! I’m protesting them🤙🏾
— Meek Mill (@MeekMill) January 8, 2019
The women of Black Twitter came for Meek Mill after he posted the tweet, “Lace front wigs are wackkkk!! I’m protesting them”
I just hate when you see that lace cap line in front all slicked down and the net in the middle 😅 we letting y’all have everything else …. ask y’all man how he feel lol

Meek was quickly reminded that “women with lace fronts were out protesting for him” while he was in jail.
Whether black women wear lace front wigs out of necessity, convenience (because natural hair takes a lot of time), or artistic expression, this statement is still inherently anti black. We were just marching for you. Cmon man 🙄 @MeekMill #MeekMill https://t.co/DKGPAihtmy

Other users eluded to his relationship with Nicki Minaj, who is known to always wear wigs and weave. It was also explained that some women wear wigs and weave to feel good about themselves, out of necessity or because of convenience.
Wow imagine being blessed with freedom, wealth and an amazing platform but choosing to be negative and spread hate instead… pic.twitter.com/8ikPyTnNx3
