Despite previous reports, Drake did not, in fact, recreate his charitable “God’s Plan” music video at a McDonald’s in Los Angeles.

Wednesday, news of Drizzy’s late-night snack run to the fast food chain was circulated online after a Twitter user claimed he witnessed the Toronto lyricist tip two Mickey D’s employees $10,000 each. A photo of Drake allegedly handing money over to a cashier also surfaced.
The speculation was further heightened after Drake shared a photo on Instagram of himself inside the same McDonald’s location, which he captioned “M’s.”
@McDonalds confirms what an employee told me…@drake tipped 2 McDonald’s employees $100 each, NOT $10,000. The amount doesn’t take away from his generosity. https://t.co/jRVYooJKG4

According to an L.A.-based reporter, however, the tip amount was actually $100 each.
Still, many media outlets went with the false $10,000 story, which was believable thanks to the “God’s Plan” video. In the clip, he gave away more than $999,000 of the filming budget to those in need in the Miami area.
