Manhunt In St. Helens For Armed And Dangerous Shooting Suspect

St. Helens, Oregon – Residents are waking up to tons of flashing lights and police tape around Old Portland Road and 7th street in St. Helens this morning. St. Helens polce tell our News Partner KGW a manhunt is underway this morning around Columbia County and surrounding areas for an armed and dangerous suspect accused of shooting two people last night in St. Helens. The two victims are expected to survive. One victim was shot several times and suffered critical injuries. Police say there was a little 7-year-old girl upstairs in the home at the time of the shooting. She was not hurt. St. Helens Police along with Columbia County Sheriff’s Office and other law enforcement agencies are searching for the suspect. He’s described as a heavy-set white man driving a white colored sedan. We’re also hearing the suspect and the two victims are roommates and know each other. We’ll keep you updated on this developing story.
