Law Enforcement in Bend Investigating Threat

BEND, Ore. (AP) – A sheriff’s office in Central Oregon says streets have been closed around the courthouse in the town of Bend as an explosives unit investigates a suspicious package.
The Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office also said a person of interest was being sought, and tweeted a photo of an individual wearing a hat, large sunglasses and a hoodie carrying a box wrapped in brown paper. The sheriff’s office said it is investigating an unconfirmed bomb threat.
Several streets were closed Monday near the district attorney’s office. An Oregon State Police Explosives Unit van was at the scene.
