La La Anthony Speaks On Omari Hardwick’s Double Beyonce Kiss
Omari Hardwick is being trolled on social media for double-kissing Beyonce at the NAACP Image Awards, and his Power co-star La La Anthony is happy that people find the incident funny.
Power executive producer 50 Cent joked that the awkward encounter, in which Omari stepped around JAY-Z to hug and kiss Queen Bey, would be a plot twist in the series, commenting on Instagram. “Season 6 of POWER Jay Z kills Ghost don’t miss it.”

“50 has said enough for all of us. I just keep seeing him posting it,” LaLa tells The Loop. “I’m glad people can make a joke out of it.”
At the ceremony, Hardwick won Outstanding Actor in a Drama Series, and La La says she’s very proud of him.
“I think that Omari is hands-down one of the most talented actors in the game,” she says. “I sometimes just watch him in awe of his work and how he approaches the material. He’s incredible and he deserved that.”
Power returns July 1, and La La says this will be a very significant season for her character.
“It’s been an incredible experience and for my character, Lakeisha,” Anthony comments. “Just watching her growth over the seasons has been amazing and I think this will be her biggest season yet.”
Anthony begins production today in New York City on the Christmas movie Holiday Rush. She says she’s thrilled to reunite with one of her favorite actors.
“So I’m excited and Romany Malco is in it, who was also in Think Like A Man One and Two with me, so it’s kinda like reuniting with your family,” she says. “And I’m excited for all of us to work together again.”
Holiday Rush will air in December on Netflix.
