Kodak Black has been formally charged for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman after a 2016 concert in South Carolina, The State reports.

According to the news outlet, the rapper, born Dieuson Octave, is facing a first-degree criminal sexual conduct charge after he is alleged to have attacked a high school student in a hotel room following a performance in Florence, South Carolina.

While the “No Flockin” artist is currently on tour, he will most likely have to report back to South Carolina in either the early summer or fall, prosecutor Ed Clements told The State.

“We are slowly but steadily moving toward a disposition,” Clements commented, after revealing that a trial set for this month has been continued.

However, a new court date has yet to be set.

“I want to do justice for the victim, whatever that takes,” he added.

Clements also confirmed to The State that the victim was not a minor at the time of the incident, otherwise the charges would have reflected that fact.

According to the arrest warrant, Kodak forced the young woman onto the hotel bed and then the floor, where he bit her on her neck and right breast, despite the victim’s pleas for him to stop. The victim’s injuries have since been documented in a rape kit.

Kodak was later arrested for the assault in November 2016. Upon his release on a $100,000 bond, the Floridian submitted swabs of his DNA to prosecutors.

The 21-year-old artist could potentially face a maximum sentence of 30 years in prison if convicted, but there are several lesser sentences he could face related to the same criminal sexual conduct charge.
