Khalid Gave The Release Date For His Sophomore Album
Khalid has unveiled the title and release date for his highly-anticipated sophomore album, Free Spirit.
Thursday, the “Location” singer took to Twitter to share with fans that the project will arrive on April 5 via RCA Records.
In celebration of the album release, Khalid also announced the big screen premiere of a special companion film, also titled Free Spirit. The short is set to be released to cinemas worldwide on April 3, just two days before the album’s official drop.

The special one-night-only fan event will also include an early listening of the full album.
“I’ve never done anything like this,” Khalid tweeted following the announcement of the short film. “I’m no actor but it was fun as f*** and I didn’t want it to be a normal a** listening session!”

“I want everyone to get a chance to enjoy it,” he added.
Earlier this month the R&B crooner dropped off “Talk,” the first single off Free Spirit. Pre-order for the project launches on March 7 via Khalid’s dedicated website.
In addition, the singer will also be making his debut on Saturday Night Live come March 9, as their musical guest.
