Kevin Hart Says New Netflix Special Is ‘His Own Form Of Therapy’
Kevin Hart‘s first-ever Netflix special, Irresponsible, has proved to be a form of therapy for the global star.
In a new interview with Entertainment Tonight, Hart revealed that during the special, he doesn’t shy away from discussing tough topics, like his infamous cheating scandal.
“For me, this is a confessional. This is a therapy session that I was able to make people laugh out of my mistakes,” the comedian explained.
Hart continued, “The special is something that people need right now. It’s not just for laughter — more importantly, it’s making people understand that it is O.K. to be flawed…to talk about your flaws and not hide the things that may or may not be wrong.”
Back in 2017, the Jumanji star admitted he was “guilty” of being unfaithful to his then-pregnant wife, Eniko Parrish.
Hart added, “The title of perfection does not exist and through stand-up is where I try to make people aware and understand that.”
In a one-hour special was filmed in front of a sold-out live audience of over 15,000 people at the O2 Arena in London, which was one of the stops on Hart’s Irresponsible Tour.
Kevin Hart: Irresponsible is now streaming on Netflix.
