Kendrick Lamar stunned fans with a surprise release of his new album, GNX, on Friday, November 22. The 37-year-old rapper dropped the 12-track project with no prior announcement, marking his first major release since being caught up in a rap feud with Drake earlier this year.

Hours before the album’s release, Lamar teased fans with a cryptic video for the title track, GNX. The clip features atmospheric drone sounds and haunting, hymnal vocals layered over striking visuals. The video opens with Lamar stepping out of a car in a massive garage, where another vehicle’s headlights pierce the shadows. The scene shifts to him leaning against his car, delivering razor-sharp verses, before transitioning to a dimly lit hallway where he crouches beside a piano.

With GNX, Lamar once again asserts his place at the forefront of the rap game.
