John Legend Is Gearing Up For The Release Of His New Single
John Legend is gearing up for the release of a new single, “Preach,” by gifting fans with a video teaser.
Tuesday, the soul singer took to social media to share a brief clip of what appears to be the song’s accompanying visual. “I can’t just sit and hope, I can’t just sit and pray,” Legend captioned the video montage.
In the clip, a series of scenarios play out as Legend is seen walking through a church. At one point, the video shows a young black man being harassed by police, chaos occurring in a high school and then a still of Legend facing off against officers sporting riot gear.
The single is slated for release on February 1.
As previously reported, Legend has been a talking point amid the controversy surrounding R. Kelly. Earlier this month, the singer denounced Kelly by saying he doesn’t “give a f*** about protecting a serial child rapist.”
