John Legend Promotes His Collab With Sperry

John Legend welcomed his collaboration with Sperry with an appearance at a Los Angeles Nordstrom on Monday (September 20).
Legend wore a peach-colored suit with a light yellow printed dress shirt to compliment the light brown boat shoes he created with the shoe brand.
‘I’m glad they were willing to do something a little different with us. We tried to tie it to some shapes and soles and styles that they already had, but make it new and fresh, and clearly reflective that it was a collaboration,’ said Legend.
The ‘All Of Me” singer admitted that he had his wife, Chrissy Teigen, in mind while designing the shoes. ‘I’m always trying to look good for her, and that’s part of my inspiration — just wanting to look good next to her because she’s always going to look good…with all these styles, I feel confident standing in them next to my beautiful wife,’ said Legend. The line includes boat shoes in four different shades and two different pairs of high-top boots.
