Jhene Aiko is setting the record straight about her relationship with Big Sean.

While the pair quietly split a few months ago, the “Sativa” songstress won’t be addressing their breakup on wax as part of her upcoming album.

Tuesday, Aiko shared a clip of herself in the studio prepping the new project but quickly shut down speculation about which topics would be highlighted on the follow-up to 2017’s Trip.

“Me and Sean are good. I got tons of love for him,” Aiko said in response to a fan claiming that she was planning to “snitch” on Sean in the album’s lyrics.

The singer then went on to explain exactly what fans can expect from her new album.

“My next project is all freestyles where I touch on many subjects and relationships… past, present, and future,” Aiko explained.

She continued, “I know you all love the drama and would like to think everything I do is about him, but I’ve been through plenty of other things and situations that I pull inspiration from when I sit down and create a song.”

Coincidentally, the same day Aiko revealed she was busy at work in the studio, Sean reemerged on social media to explain his absence and tease some new material of his own.
