Jay-Z’s Tidal Streaming Service Has A Bidder
Square is reportedly interested in buying JAY-Z’s Tidal streaming service. Square which is run by Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey, is looking to diversify.
The negotiations have been private, however, Jack and JAY-Z have been spotted hanging out in recent months.
JAY-Z purchased Tidal for $56 million and turned the streaming service into an artist-owned service that offered higher-fidelity music over its counterparts.
Apple tried to purchase Tidal in 2016 and in 2017 Sprint brought a $200 million stake in the company.
