Did J. Cole Sneak Diss Kanye West In His New Song
Currently working on his sixth studio album, Grammy Awards nominee J. Cole dropped his first single of the year on Wednesday, “Middle Child.”
The T-Minus produced track is already making waves for lyrics that touch on a supposed beef with Drake and a perhaps real beef with Kanye West.
“Back when the rap game was prayin’ I’d diss, they act like two legends cannot coexist,” the North Carolina native expresses about fans who, in the past, have wanted him to feud with Drizzy.

Then a few lines later Cole makes a possible subliminal reference to Kanye’s recent Twitter feud with Drake, promising that if he beefs with another rapper “It won’t be for clout, it won’t be for fame, it won’t be ’cause my s*** ain’t sellin’ the same.”
No official word on if “Middle Child” will appear on J. Cole’s 2019 album, or the hotly anticipated Dreamville label compilation, Revenge of the Dreamers III.
“Middle Child” is J. Cole’s first official single since 2013.
