J. Cole Reveals He’s Expecting His Second Child

Congratulations are in order for J. Cole, as the rapper is expecting his second child.

Over the weekend, the KOD lyricist shared the exciting news with fans along with the release of Dreamville’s highly-anticipated compilation album, Revenge of the Dreamers III. For the effort’s closing track, “Sacrifices,” Cole reveals he has another bundle of joy on the way with his wife, Melissa Heholt.

Over the dialed-down record, which also features EarthGang, Smino, and Saba, the Dreamville label head makes the announcement public in the song’s sixth verse.

“She gave me the gift of my son, and plus we got one on the way/She gave me a family to love, for that, I can never repay/I’m crying while writing these words, the tears, they feel good on my face,” he spits.

Cole previously broke the news of his first child with Heholt on his 2016 LP, 4 Your Eyez Only. The couple began dating in college before they wed in 2015. Heholt currently oversees the rapper’s Dreamville Foundation, which raised funds for Hurricane Florence relief last year.
