The track addresses many things. Racism, activism, police brutality, and social media are at the forefront.
Cole also talks about his own celebrity status as he refers to comments made by Noname.

Noname called out rappers who are all about movements not saying anything about the recent climate. Many thought she was referring to people like Cole and Kendrick Lamar. Cole addressed the speculation in the song without mentioning Noname by name.
