Pusha says that Lauryn told him she “liked what he did musically,” and “she would take a crack at it.”

Pusha says that Ms. Hill sent back a sample of what she was working on saying, “Hey, this is what I’m working on, but I don’t know if I really like these two parts.” I’m like, “What?! Are you actually going through your process with me? What do you mean?” thought Pusha.

Pusha tells Rolling Stone that “Coming Home” was a process, he and Lauryn Hill went through nine different renditions before settling on the final version.
