Hip-Hop pioneer Melle Mel isn’t holding back when it comes to other rappers.

The Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five rapper was asked if he could battle Eminem, and he said, “Easily. It would be the easiest thing I ever did. At the end of the day, mechanically, technically, he’s a great rapper. But I’m the greatest. I know how to write it. I put it down, it’s going to stay down.”

During the interview, Mel also said the Notorious B.I.G and Jay-Z aren’t the G.O.A.T’s.

He added, “I think a lot of rappers are overrated, yeah. The main problem that I got with a lot of these dudes, when you made it, you made it. Now you out, forget the street guy act. You’re not street like that. I’m not even a street guy. I’m a hood n—a.”
